From the upcoming volume of DRINK.

Ink spills from the steep walls of a flooded crater. Huge painted stones congregate around a grotesque willow that seeps corrupted light. Stained birds bark and hiss from its branches.

Flooding fissures (slick walls spew ink, floods to knee-height, flows beneath the willow) +1 DR to agility tests.
Weeping willow (ancient, twisted, luminescent fronds drip glowing sap)
Amber-candied fruits (torn remains gored by branches, coated in hardened sap, shed light that is drawn to the living)
Standing stones (crudely painted figures upon a great wall, people burning on pyres, men and beasts wrestle with their shadows, a black stain stretches across the sky)
Ahead: tangled hollow (water trickles beneath willow roots)
Behind: narrow crack (slow to move through, tearing brambles)

stained birds (d4 + 1)

Featherless. Skin boils like tar. Eyes burn. Rum blossomed beaks peck at willow fruit.
HP 6     morale 4     no armor     tar tendrils d4 per 2HP remaining
Driven to defend the willow. Build nests of what the shadows leave behind.

stretching shadows

Shadows of the living stretch unnaturally. Freed from whoever casts them in d3 + 1 rounds.
HP 8     morale –     no armor     shadow scythes d6
Dimensional malleability: Attacks fumble on 1-4; hitting the walls, stones, or floor instead.
Driven to collect fruits for the willow. Without light they cannot exist.

amber-candied fruits (2d4)

HP 1     no armor
Burst with ethereal light when destroyed. Melee attackers automatically destroy the fruit, but test agility DR10 or are blinded for 1 turn.

searching the scene

Sunken bodies (2d3 + 1): Their flesh is gone. Their plunder remains.
Locked chest (wrapped within willow roots, warm to the touch, covered in small beetles)
Requires a combined strength of +6 to remove, causing the willow to wither and release its fruits. Filled with bonemeal that crackles like hot embers.

Bonemeal
Bones vibrate when near. Contact and roll a d6. Consuming more than once causes a spiked mass to erupt from the body, killing instantly.

1: Bony shards tear through your skull, forming a pale white crown. You cannot wear hats or helmets. On a successful defense roll, there is a 1 in 6 chance you deal d6 damage.
2: A bony prehensile tail extends from your spine. It can grip and lift things as a normal arm could. Sitting is uncomfortable.
3: Your bones grow thick and strong. Increase HP maximum by d6. You weigh as much as if you were wearing heavy armor and sink in water.
4: Uncontrolled bone growth. Broken bones repair while resting. Lost limbs regenerate as fleshless limbs in one day and are inexplicably usable. Going a full day without any major wounds has a 1 in 6 chance of spurs piercing your organs, causing an agonizing death.
5: An arm grows long and spindly. Several new scissor joints allow it to retract and become spring loaded. It can reach up to 20 ft away.
6: Using a power, release the skeleton from its flesh cage. Leave the binds of meat existence behind. Experience calcified ecstasy. Attacks from sharp weapons do minimum damage and blunt weapons do maximum damage. If not returned to a meatsuit in d4 minutes, the bones fall into a lifeless pile.
